That’s very very harsh. I’m not biased, but just look at who else made mistakes.
Ok, maybe I was being harsh, but Hamilton qualified 2nd and was dominating when he almost hit the barriers in the rain on slicks. Showed far more speed than Alonso.
Kubica may have inherited his podium, but his only error was a very minor one getting into the pits.
Schumacher made his error in Hungary, which put him 21st on the grid. Didn’t stop a spirited fightback to 7th.
Rosberg got a gearbox penalty, and lost two places when Schumacher took advantage of Petrov’s overtake. More unfortunate that he wasn’t on the racing line thanks to Petrov than an error. Still recovered to finish just in front of those two though.
Perhaps Vettel did overtake like an amateur.
But Fernando had a shocker that day, since he didn’t make great progress from 10th (while Felipe started 5th) and then did put it in the wall while on wets. At least he’s more than made up for it since.
