We need to make tyres a true variable.
When there were the “tyre war”, the tyres were the same.
We currently have pime and options, where U have 2 use both of the available types.
However if there were more variance, prime 1, prime 2, prime 3, option 1, option 2, option 3. This would allow for more variance, and shake things up.
It would create a situation for the strategists to work over time.
The new era of F1, has taken the racing away from the sport and made it more
strategy. Make different compounds available for the teams to select from

Pirelli are discussing the possibility of bringing all 4 compounds to the race and letting drivers choose which 2 they will use.

I think the teams should be allowed 7 sets of dry tyres for the weekend, as now, but that they should be able to choose any combination of compounds. (Maybe 3x hard, 4x soft; 2x medium, 5x soft; even 2x hard, 2x medium, 2x soft, 1x super soft if they like!) With that we could see more varied strategies and allow the best brains to win out. As should be clear by now, I’m not a fan of standardisation!
