They would never extend the circuit to North Bridge Road. As it is, it is already congested on its own before the F1 diversions and there is no way the city officials will close off that road.
Apart from the expressway, its the ONLY relatively direct road left in the city after the F1 diversions that can channel traffic from the financial office areas in Shenton Way and Chinatown to the other side of town near Raffles Hotel on the east side and beyond.
If you truncate that part and keep it only to the parallel St Andrew’s Road and Beach Road though, it looks quite a promising idea indeed. Very creative the parts between pit straight and Point 2. It goes past some of the traditional shophouses in fact and of course the grand old dame Raffles Hotel on Beach Road.

Point 2 – same thing they would never extend to North Bridge Road. Connaught Drive towards Anderson Bridge would be possible only if the cars are already racing in 2 single files before it even reaches Connaught Drive. A Mickey Mouse chicane would have to be installed way before that to achieve the filtering.

Left acute turn after Point 2 is not possible in reality…. that road you see is actually a flyover that goes over Nicoll Highway so there is no way even for now that traffic can turn in there from Nicoll Highway to reach Beach Road. (flyover is actually an exit road from the expressway that runs over the circuit). Would have to be done at the earlier Middle Road junction.
