maybe F1 isn’t for him, maybe he can’t cope with the various accounts of pressure..remember Cristiano da Matta?brilliant driver as well, but he didn’t quite fit in the F1 circus

Liuzzi,- it pains me to say, but I think your time is coming to an end, however it must be said that he is still a better bet than a few others I could mention, ah those 2 clampits at str spring to mind

Aleguersuari is doing great for a teenager and Buemi likewise for a guy from a country where motor sport was banned until 2007..I think they’ll have a strong word to say in the future

I don’t see Liuzzi being replaced. He has shown in the past that he can get it done. He looked decent at Toro Rosso and he raced well last year. I don’t believe that Liuzzi has just all of a sudden turned rubbish. It was clear in Canada that when he is happy with the car, he can deliver some good results. Anyway, if Liuzzi was doing that bad, he would have been replaced already.

He also matched Sutil at Monaco this year and on his comeback at Monza last year he was pretty immense. Whether or not such sporadically good performances warrant him keeping his seat I don’t know, but as a Liuzzi fan I’d like to see him have another year.

Liuzzi ranks among the countless italian drivers that once they get to the top become underachievers. There’s been a cohort of them over the last 30 years (Giacomelli, De Cesaris, Fabi, Ghinzani, Zanardi, Pirro, Martini, Badoer and I would put Trulli in the same category though he is a GP winner). Lack of support, clash of culture with the way Anglo/German teams work ? Despite Italy being to the fore of car racing and Formula One, the last Italian World Champion was in 1953 !!! What gives ?

Saw this one article that has Bernie and Hamilton support Chandhok for a better team next year…. Force India, perhaps?

I don’t think Chandhok will go to FI. He’s a nice guy but it’s still not clear how competitive he really is. Mallya would probably love an Indian driver but a good one who can push the team forward. Karun would be a big gamble.

“Mallya would probably love an Indian driver but a good one who can push the team forward. “

I think that has been proven by FI having the option to pick up Karun for this year, but they instead went with Liuzzi. Weren’t there a few words exchanged between Karun and Mallya about him driving for FI? I seem to remember them not being on the best terms.

I thought Mallya didn’t like Chandhok for some reason? Something to do with his Dad and him having a disagreement? Hope that wouldn’t get in the way though, it’d be great if he went to Force India, just don’t really think he’d be ready for it yet though. As for Liuzzi, I think it’s all been said, he’s had a few chances now and not shone. I like him as a person, seems like a really nice guy and he’s had some epic racing boots just not really proved himself.

He had some good runs, but I don’t think he’s done enough yet to keep his seat. But it all depends on Sutil and Renault. Because if Sutil stays, surely Liuzzi will be sacked for Di Resta.
