I got a question about the hybrid engine. In F1 we have standard ECUs and I understand that apart of the ECU, control electronics were introduced to manage ERS harvest / deployment. It’s also one of the components on the list of limited parts besides ICE, MGU-H, ES, etc.
Are they allowed to change software on the component that’s referred as CE, or do they have to replace the entire thing whenever they introduce new ERS maps?
