There’s an interesting story about a single named ‘Deutschland’ by German group ‘Die Prinzen’, which got released in 2001. Just like most of the group’s hits, it’s ironical and the text describes what Germany is like. One of the lines sounds as follows:
Nur eine Kleinigkeit ist hier verkehrt
Und zwar dass Schumacher keinen Mercedes fährt
which means:
Just one small thing here is wrong
Namely, Schumacher doesn’t drive a Mercedes
The song was written in 2001 (a picture of Hakkinen’s car appears in the video) so it’s a bit funny to listen to it since 2010…
