@Klon Well it’s clear that Trulli is rubbish. Barrichello was a bad example.

+ Trulli is rubbish.. The only thing the guy is currently good at is complaining about the tyres and his power steering. I btw never understood why Toyota took him in the first place. Probably because of his Japanese connection and his one win.

I still think that one of the main reasons for Toyota never to win a race was their failure to recruit at least one A-list driver. But ok, bit off-topic on this one I guess. Interesting talking point nonetheless.

@Klon – Hulkenberg was replaced at Williams because of his lack of funding, not because of his performances!

Asanator, that is only partially true. Even ignoring Weber’s unwillingness to actually do something for sponsorship – it was still a performance thing. Because while Maldonado was surely to come either way, it was not so sure that Barrichello had a guaranteed spot. This is where Hülkenberg could have excelled and beaten “the old man”, but he didn’t. Williams had to cut one driver and the other car would be for the faster man – Hülkenberg could have been said faster man, but he was not good enough.

Liuzzi was awful last year, but they didn’t replace him with di Resta during the season. I doubt they’ll put Hulkenberg in Sutil’s place this year. He’s been involved with the team for too long and he’s not as bad as Liuzzi was for most of 2010.
