Tony Fernandes is trying to buy West Ham United football club, according to post on his Twitter site, but the current WHUFC owners say he isn’t.

The team has just been relegated from the English top flight, and has very large debts.

However it does have the right to move into the 80,000 London 2012 stadium after the games, and sell on the old ground for housing redevlopment in a very lucrative deal.

I thought he was a right prat for announcing it on his Twitter page… but then again everything he does these days tends to irk me, so perhaps I’m biased!

Does this really come as a surprise to you, since he does everything – from announcing driver line-ups to declaring war – on Twitter these days?
