    The people who I dislike (in no order):
    Flavio Briatore
    Fernando Alonso
    Lewis Hamilton
    Eddie Jordan
    Daddy Hamilton
    I dislike Lewis and Fernando’s personalities (well, how they come across on television. I can’t comment truthfully unless I know them) but I know that they are both fantastic drivers with raw talent.

    Michael Schumacher.

    I still celebrate if he crashes.

    Well I was in the middle of writing a long winded comment and my PC crashed, so here’s dramatically shorter version of what I was going to say.

    Used to hate Hamilton, not so much since end of ITV. Now more that I want him to lose rather than hating him personally. Still loathe Ron Dennis.

    People are too harsh on Alonso. And his fans aren’t really militant, just a bit prickly since most UK media out to get him.

    I think Piquet jnr is hard done by, but I can’t reduce my argument into a couple of lines so I won’t bother trying.

    They’re all human so we shouldn’t really hate any of them on basis of limited media coverage.

    Yeah, Nakajima was mediocrity epitomised. I actually supported him because I always root for the underdog, and because he seemed like a nice guy, but I always knew he was rubbish. I’m glad he had his moment of glory running in the top 4 for the first 15 or so laps at Silverstone 2009. But then he just disappeared after his first stop, which kind of summed up his short F1 career!

    Ads- I suppose a lot of the hate Piquet Jr gets ought to be directed towards Flavio Briatore really. Piquet was bad, but at the end of the day he was also a victim in the whole mess

    Steve slater for calling alonso raikkonen, last year.

    No Ned, Piquet is as bad as Briatore. I don’t care if he was bullied or hard-done by Briatore, he should have been strong minded enough not to crash on purpose with the possibility of hurting himself, marshalls and fans. I have no sympathy for someone who disregards the safety of others just to extend their Formula One career.

    Although I don’t believe it’s really fair to judge people based on the way they are presented by the media – which is, at the end of the day, the only side of their characters that most of us see, aside from those lucky enough to have met them – I struggle to warm to Richard Branson. He decides on the eve of the ’09 season to come and stick his logos on the fastest car, get his face in all the photos, soak up all the glory… then when he tries to do the same with his own team and largely fails, we don’t see so much of him any more. Wirth gets a lot of stick for sticking with CFD, but few people mention that maybe this is ’cause Branson is unwilling to pour any more of his millions into the project to ensure a more competitive budget for the team…
    On the other hand, credit to him for going ahead with the stewardess bet!

    Piquet was hated long before the Singapore incident though. Many people weren’t willing to give him a chance in F1, or even before then. I think it’s because his father wasn’t popular in the UK due to his feud with Mansell.

    @Hatebreeder. Steve Slater had a lot of classics. This year he called one of the Sauber drivers Heidfeld.. for atleast a good two laps. He could never tell the difference between the Red Bull and Toro Rosso cars, and somehow he consistently guessed wrong, even though he had a 50% chance of being right.

    I remember the Kimi-Fernando mixup. LOL

    I don’t *hate* anyone in F1. Hate’s way to strong. This is a sport, it’s entertainment.

    Things I hate, are racism, child abuse, drug addiction, alcoholism, murder, rape. Things of that sort. I rarely hate the people, but I hate those actions, as they seriously damage people and society as a result.

    I love some people in F1, I love F1, and I like some less, but in no way at all do I hate anyone, in any sport.

    I think it’s a point worth making, as we can get things out of context. After the threads on Bahrain, I would hope we would be a little more careful with that word.

    Just my opinion, mind.

    @Hare
    Whatever… …seriously who do you hate?

    LOL, I’m just joking.
    I love your comment! +1 and hats of
    to you!

    BTW, I hate the passenger in the safety car.

    People involved in Singapore 2008 Crashgate…

  • Profile picture of Hare Hare said 2 years, 1 month ago:

    @Cacarella ;) Someone’s gotta say it.

    Now, I certainly don’t have a lot of time for Briatore or Piquet JR, or anyone who cheats with complete disrespect to the sport, the drivers and the fans. They shouldn’t be there.

    Weirdly, I don’t feel the same about Pat Simmonds. I’m not sure he was at the same level as the two above.
