It goes past famous landmarks like the Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, the Gherkin, City Hall and St. Paul’s Cathedral. The fast chicane before Blackfriars Bridge seems wicked. Also funny that it happens to unintentionally look a lot like the old Silverstone.

It runs through Westminster and also has a nice vista of Battersea Power Station.

@KeithCollantine Yeah i didnt think that it was too serious but i did read that bernie put a sum of money up as a distraction for his legal issues. This lead me to the thought that perhaps this has a chance of coming to fruition, but it more than likely wont. Still i thought it was interesting enougth to share :).

There’s absolutely no way the Admiralty Arch would be allowed to driven through, for safety reasons. That’s way too dangerous.

That’s the general consensus, but where is it written that Bernie cannot be sincere about it at the same time as deflecting unwanted attention? He’s been after a race in London for years – ever since the demonstration on the streets back in 2004, which saw a crowd twice as big as what Silverstone usually draws – and has admitted that he came very close to signing a deal with the City of Westminster, but the price was the only stumbling block. If he really wants a race in London, offering to fund the project up-front clears away the biggest problem he has last time around.
