While I know that testing can be hard to read, how do you think the teams stand as of now, all things considered (e.g.: pure pace, reliability, pace in the wet, ease on tires, etc.)?

    Here’s my list:

    1. Red Bull

    2. Ferrari

    3. Renault

    4. McLaren

    5. Williams

    6. Mercedes

    7. Toro Rosso

    8. Sauber

    9. Force India

    10. Lotus

    11. Virgin

    12. HRT

At the moment, I would agree. But when we turn up to Melbourne I think it will be quite different.

Agreed, but I’d like it to look more like this at the begining of the year, just to make the early season interesting:

    1. Red Bull

    2. Ferrari

    3. McLaren

    4. Renault

    5. Williams

    6. Mercedes

    7. Force India

    8. Sauber

    9. Lotus

    10. Toro Rosso

    11. Virgin

    12. HRT

Shows how much i know…Hamilton and Button have come out saying the Toro Rosso is “ridiculously fast”. TommyB put the link on Twitter…

Considering the rapid wear of the Pirellis, where the teams really stand now has more to do with the ability of the car to protect its tyres rather than the aero package (though the two are also linked). In sheer speed I would say RB and Ferrari are in front but as for the ability to win a race I’d say Renault and Mercedes. What Alonso said about multiple tyre stops is very telling. He knows they’re fast but he realizes speed may not be the thing to have this year.

Impossible to comment personally. Yes, everyones on a level playing field, but the amount of variables just makes it so difficult to stab a guess at it.

It’s pretty evident that Lewis and Jenson are bricking it. Unless they’re call everyones bluff ;)

I haven’t been following much testing so here’s a slightly blind prediction

    Up Front: Ferrari, Red Bull

    Top Midfield: McLaren, Renault, Williams

    Midfield: Mercedes, Force India, Sauber

    Lower Midfield: Sauber, Lotus

    Rear: Virgin

then the safety car, then the marshalls, then the crowd, oh and then maybe HRT

I predict Ferrari and Red Bull will be miles ahead of the pack in Australia.

I would love for Toro Rosso to mix it with the big boys this seasons with their double floored rocket :P.

I have a feeling Williams will get the odd podium this year as well.

Mclaren and Merc will both struggle in the midfield until mid-season.

Renault for me are the hardest to predict, hopefully quick nick can use his pirelli knowledge to spring a few surprises.

Lotus to be quicker than FI.

    P.S. new here, hey everyone
