anyone notice the fast food out lets was called “Gerhards Burgers”, they are so subtle but yet so funny, i love it!
Any idea who this is (from the Nyck de Vries one, episode 8)?
Is it Mansell without the flavour saver? Surprised he’s in the gallery at all!
@bullfrog Martin Brundle.
Of course! Alex’s dad. From when his hair wasn’t as grey. Thanks @robk23 !
I must admit I found the latest one a bit of a disappointment.
Here’s episode 9, “Strictly Bollywood”:
agree Keith, episode 8 was the best so far (imo).
Yeah, this was totally lame and pointless and I think Lewis and Jenson felt the same way
Funny, I loved it. Something like this doesn’t always have to be about racing, after all…
I’d say that, like the Nyck de Vries episode, the team knew Button and Hamilton wouldn’t have much time for recording it, and so deliberately wrote it to involve minimal speaking parts.
Still, I loved Hamilton’s punchline at the end.
Jenson’s maracas line was a hoot. Second episode running they’ve teased Perez’s arrival now. Giving me hope for a 2nd series. :)
@journeyer – Maracas are used all over Latin America, not just in Mexico. So I don’t think it’s foreshadowing Perez joining the team. All of these episodes would have been written, animated and recorded in the shortest possible timeframe, so these episodes with minmal input from Button and Hamilton were probably intentionally made that way.
Did anyone notice the colorschemes of the costumes in ep9? Blue&red(RBR), white&red(MCL), red&yellow(FER), green&yellow(CAT), black&gold(LOT), white&orange&green(FI)
Yep, noticed that too
Thanks for pointing them out – I watched all 9 the other day and I found them very funny.
Is McLaren Animation a venture of McLaren?
Tooned is out on DVD on 3rd December direct from the McLaren Shop, a week later elsewhere.
