Michael Schumacher still rules the roost – if anything, in more dominant fashion than last year. While this year’s performances might have helped, I’d put this down to the disappointing seasons Alonso and Hamilton had this year.
Ralf gained the most places (6), but Vettel, Button, and Coulthard gained places too. Vettel, in particular, gained 192 points! Raikkonen did not gain any places, but gained more points (21) compared to last year.
Hamilton lost the most points compared to last year (78), edging out Montoya’s losses. Other drivers lost at least one place in this year’s ranking (Webber, Rosberg, Heidfeld, Fisichella), while others had less points without losing a place (Alonso, Hakkinen, Massa, Kubica, Barrichello).
Of the 20 drivers who got votes last year, 3 have remained voteless so far this year – Trulli, Villeneuve, and Kobayashi.
Very interesting results so far, indeed. So keep voting! :)
