    Schumacher in his comeback, maybe. But Hamilton and Alonso have not had “bad” cars since winning their championships. Not unless a bad car now means any car less good than the absolute best. None of the McLarens Hamilton has driven have been bad – that’s a word properly reserved for the cars in the middle to the bottom of the table.

    @jonsan Schumi’s 1996 Ferrari was awful AND unreliable. Alonso also had that 2009 pig of a Renault, but that hasn’t proven much. I’d still say the F2012 was awful during the first flyaways at a minimum. Lewis’ McLaren in the first half of 2009 was slower than Williams, Toyota, and Ferrari, never mind Brawn and Red Bull.
