    Adelaide, Montjuic (Barcelona – rated as one of the best ever: http://montjuich.speedgeezers.net/history.html), Macau, Monaco, Long Beach

    for those a bit more unique, checkout:

    * AVUS – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AVUS
    * Caesars Palace – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caesars_Palace_Grand_Prix
    * Detroit – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detroit_street_circuit

    AVUS is a horrible track – it held the German GP once instead of the legendary Nurburgring, and on that race weekend saw the death of a driver due to it’s dangerous bankings.

    Often overlooked when considering North American street circuits, the Toronto Indy is well worth seeing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Indy_Toronto

    Oh lord how could I forget Birmingham. Strangely enough the Student halls I live in are right where the races were held (On Pershore Road/Sherlock Street) leading to the Queensway tunnels!!!!!! (What an amazing tunnel).

    Not all in urban settings but these are public roads made into awsome race tracks.

    5
    Isle of Man TT, I don’t even like bikes that much but I love watching them zoom round here.

    4
    Le Mans, those dam chicanes spoilt it a bit but it’s still awesome

    3
    Targa Florio, not much chance of blue flags here. (to be honest I’m a bit surprised no one mentioned it yet)

    2
    Monaco, This track is so tight, I love the way they keep driving it when the cars have long since out grown it, and the prestige is unmatched

    1
    AVUS, home of the ultimate hairpin and “The wall of death” If Tilke had no safety rules to worry about, he’d probably come up with a new AVUS. And it’s kick ass in a game (find it for Rfactor). The ultimate engineer’s track

    It seems I like them old, real old. sorry for any spelling errors.
