Some parts of the car are just too messy for logos
It’s just the angle. When you look at it square-on, it clearly says Total. And while it’s difficult to see at an angle, it’s impossible to make it out when the car is moving.
Its the same as last year. The sides of the front and rear wing are red, and sponsored by Total.

So all the spectators that look at the end plate at a funny angle are going to want to buy a Prius. Toyota can’t complain about that.
From the angle seems like that it is Toyota.
I thought the same thing when I first saw a photo of the front wing, that’s what they get for having crappy red bits on their livery.
