Pastor Maldonado’s demonstration run in Venezuela came to an early run today when he spun and crashed his Williams.
Here’s video from a fan who saw what happened:
There’s also some footage here but it’s partly obscured by the on-screen graphics:
good ol’ pastor…
You have to feel sorry for the bloke, he has not had anything to crash into for the last few weeks.
Here’s Maldonado at the event:

I guess Williams won’t mention it, but I wonder if Sky will say something about it in one of their The F1 Show episodes. I have some sneaky feeling, based on what was said on few occasions, there is this thing called business deal between both parties…
I love the cackling laugh in the first video.
No freakin’ way, that is priceless.
This foo’ ain’t serious
LOOOOOOOOL, in the first video, someone says:
“Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha, even here he crashed !” XD
And Pastor would try again…
A better view of Maldonado crashing his Williams has appeared:
To be fair to Maldonado, that is his normal racing line (going off track to then try and get back on at full speed). Perhaps Hamilton should attach some kerbs to his car :)
Why didn’t anyone tell Maldonado, they invited him to DRIVE …and not to do what he always does ^^
I think the face of Frank Williams at that moment was like Rowan Atkinson in Silverstone in 2011 :D
I see Maldonado’s feeling the effects of the summer break as well. Pastor probably forgot those were kerbs and On normal roads as well you’re supposed to AVOID them. What a maroon!!!
Drivers doing these demonstrations aren’t pushing hard are they? I’ve seen a couple of red Bull ones, and they mostly consist of donuts.
