Pastor Maldonado’s demonstration run in Venezuela came to an early run today when he spun and crashed his Williams.
Here’s video from a fan who saw what happened:

There’s also some footage here but it’s partly obscured by the on-screen graphics:

12th August 2012, 21:30 at 9:30 pm #207071Dan8ParticipantYou have to feel sorry for the bloke, he has not had anything to crash into for the last few weeks.

I have some sneaky feeling, based on what was said on few occasions, there is this thing called business deal between both parties…
12th August 2012, 22:23 at 10:23 pm #207074EstesarkParticipantI love the cackling laugh in the first video.
12th August 2012, 23:26 at 11:26 pm #207076Lin1876ParticipantNo freakin’ way, that is priceless.
12th August 2012, 23:43 at 11:43 pm #207077David-AParticipantThis foo’ ain’t serious
12th August 2012, 23:46 at 11:46 pm #207078Fer no.65ParticipantLOOOOOOOOL, in the first video, someone says:
“Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha, even here he crashed !” XD
13th August 2012, 6:10 at 6:10 am #207079GirtsParticipantAnd Pastor would try again…
13th August 2012, 7:47 at 7:47 am #207080Keith CollantineKeymasterA better view of Maldonado crashing his Williams has appeared:
13th August 2012, 8:07 at 8:07 am #207081Dougy_DParticipantTo be fair to Maldonado, that is his normal racing line (going off track to then try and get back on at full speed). Perhaps Hamilton should attach some kerbs to his car :)
13th August 2012, 8:37 at 8:37 am #207082andy2k12ParticipantWhy didn’t anyone tell Maldonado, they invited him to DRIVE …and not to do what he always does ^^
I think the face of Frank Williams at that moment was like Rowan Atkinson in Silverstone in 2011 :D
13th August 2012, 9:09 at 9:09 am #207083MahavirShahParticipantI see Maldonado’s feeling the effects of the summer break as well.
Pastor probably forgot those were kerbs and On normal roads as well you’re supposed to AVOID them. What a maroon!!!13th August 2012, 12:23 at 12:23 pm #207084xjr15jaaagParticipantDrivers doing these demonstrations aren’t pushing hard are they?
I’ve seen a couple of red Bull ones, and they mostly consist of donuts. - AuthorPosts
