My Dad has revealed the contents of another of his many ‘boxes in the loft’ and this one contained a gem of a souvenir race team jacket, this time from the short-lived UOP Shadow Racing Team.

It’s in practically mint condition as my Dad only ever remembers wearing it on the day he bought it form a race meet (though one other wear wouldn’t be off the cards knowing my Dad’s memory!)

It actually looks really cool, not too OTT like some motorsport clothing, the logo has a sort of ‘superhero’ mystique thing about it, and it all looks pretty modern, I wouldn’t guess it’s actually around 40 years old (and I’m a Graphic Designer, I should know about all this logo stuff!). It’s too big for me or else I would wear it, and as my Dad’s just kept in it a box for all this time, he’s not getting much use out of it.

Definitely worth a look if you’re in 70s era racing and obviously there can’t be a huge amount of Shadow items around as the team was only in existence for about 9 years!
