When it’s all set and done… (367 posts)

This topic is where you predict the future of drivers and teams in F1. Here’s how it goes like; you have to start every one of your questions by the same phrase – When it’s all set and done, then you ask your question. The next person predicts and answers, than its their turn to ask a “when it’s all set and done” question.

I know that generally predicting the future is very difficult. For example, at the end of ’97 no one on earth could have guessed where Villeneuve and Hakkinen are today, things can change very quickly. Therefore this thread shouldn’t be taken too seriously and is just for enjoyment.

In 10 years, I will come back to this very thread and see how close (or horribly wrong) we were. :P

    Here’s the first question:
When it’s all set and done, who will have more wins, Vettel or Hamilton?

The next person can answer, and then create their own question in the same post.

    Vettel

Will Sergio Perez win the world championship?

(Great idea for a fun thread by the way)

Hmm, yes. I see something special in Perez.

When it’s all set and done, who will have more championships, Alonso or Hamilton?

    Alonso.

When it’s all set and done, will Hamilton ever switch teams?

  • Profile picture of Kingshark Kingshark said 8 months, 2 weeks ago:

    Yes he will.

When it’s all set and done, will Vettel ever drive for Ferrari?

  • Profile picture of raymondu999 raymondu999 said 8 months, 2 weeks ago:

    Yes he will.

When all is set and done, will Alonso and/or Button ever change teams again before retiring? (This does not include comebacks)

Alonso no, he says he wants to end his career in Maranello. Button yes.

When all is set and done, will Mercedes be a manufacturer team that wins championships (as Ferrari) or yet another failure that pulls out of the sport like BMW/Toyota/Honda before it?

    It will leave.
When all is set and done, will the Monaco GP ever leave?

I think it will remain on the calendar annually, like the Indy 500 and Le Mans.

Will HRT, Caterham or Marussia score a point by the end of next season?

  • Profile picture of Kingshark Kingshark said 8 months, 2 weeks ago:

HRT or Marrusia no, Caterham yes.

When it’s all set and done, will Williams once again win championships?

  • Profile picture of the_sigman the_sigman said 8 months, 2 weeks ago:

    No
When it’s all set and done, will Schumacher hold Vettel behind for the most wins?

  • Profile picture of Kingshark Kingshark said 8 months, 2 weeks ago:

Yes. Vettel will come close though.

When it’s all set and done will there be any European races left other than Monaco (at the current rate Bernie’s going).

  • Profile picture of Prisoner Monkeys Prisoner Monkeys said 8 months, 2 weeks ago:

Yes. Although flyaway races outnumber European races, this is because the total number of races has increased, rather than because flyaway races have been replacing European races.

When it’s all said and done, will Williams give Valtteri Bottas a drive this year, or save it until 2013?

  • Profile picture of Kingshark Kingshark said 8 months, 2 weeks ago:

No, although he’s definitely replacing Senna next year, that’s written in stone.

When it’s all said and done, will Red Bull still be winning races in say, 10 years from now?

  • Profile picture of the_sigman the_sigman said 8 months, 2 weeks ago:

    Nope.
When it’s all said and done, will Ferrari hold the record for the most wins?
