No on Massa and No to the closed cockpit I think that it would be a huge inprovement for driver safety but, it would produce some kind of blindspots for the drivers.
When it´s all said and done do you think the turbo engined cars will be faster than the V8´s or are we going to see a drop in performance as we saw when it went from v10´s to v8´s?
No. Probably won’t be much slower either but definitely not faster. Higher speeds would mean bigger safety concerns and no one wants that, especially after what happened to Dan Wheldon last year.
When it’s all said and done what will be the next “big” revival in terms of team-names, after Lotus?

Mmmmm I doubt it, Ferrari is capable of producing such cars but if they do… I doubt it would be unreliable… they seem to bullet proof everything most of the time.

I can’t choose between Vettel and Alonso, but I feel Vettel will just tip it. Although the people who’ve actually seen the era, such as ourselves, might have different opinions.

No. He might equal it, but he won’t surpass it. (for context, Kimi is, to memory, lacking 2 wins – he has 18 to Mika’s 20)

A mixture of the two, more like 2000, 2005 and 2006.
When it’s all said and done, by 2020 will 2012 be looked back at being one of the best seasons of all time?
Not by the wider public. There have been some good races, but a great season needs a strong ‘story’ with two or three drivers vying for the title. This year we’ve had a scrappy start and then Alonso has ground his way into a commanding position through consistency. It’s all very impressive but it’s not very memorable. [things could change if Vettel suddenly wins 2 of the next 3 and makes a fight of it.]
