When it’s all set and done… (367 posts)

We’ll have two actually. Austin – the track layout, the fresh asphalt and the big question mark over setup and tyre wear is bound to catch more than a couple of drivers off guard, and of course Brazil – the WDC decider on an oldschool track. India and Abu Dhabi will be boring as hell tho.

When it’s all said and done, will Paul Di Resta ever make it out of the midfield to a top team or will he be just a modern version of Nick Heidfeld: driving for modest teams, a decent result here, a decent result there, a decent season out of many but average overall?

Yes, but he would make the Kovalainen – Mc Laren thing. he’ll be outscored by whoever his partner will be, win just a race and fade out

When it’s all said and done, will Alonso ever be outscored by a teammate?

  • Profile picture of Kingshark Kingshark said 8 months ago:

Yes. Vettel in 2016, although Alonso will out-score him in 2015 hence they’ll be 1-1 when teammates for 2 seasons.

When it’s all said and done, who will have the fastest car in 2014?

Given that Red Bull is the Renault works team, and how good Newey is with regulation changes, I cannot see past a Newey designed car – whichever team he is designing for then (most probably Red Bull)

When all is said and done, who will be the first driver (if any) to beat Schumacher’s record 7 titles?

  • Profile picture of Häkkimi Häkkimi said 8 months ago:

    Karthikeyan.

But seriously, probably Vettel. I hope that doesn’t happen however.

When it’s all said and done will the Circuit of the Americas be a success?

Typical Tilkedome, with a huge straight where there will be either no overtaking or highway passes. Turn 1 looks cool, but because it’s uphill, there’s a uselessly slow corner before it and it will be slippery off-line, it’ll probably not be any good for overtaking. As for the rest, what’s the point of re-using corners from other tracks that already are on the calendar!? Like they all don’t look too much alike already!!! So many great road circuits in The States and then they spend millions on this!?!

In short: maybe to some, but not to me.

Will the FIA ever allow circuits with lap times under one minute or over two minutes?

  • Profile picture of Kingshark Kingshark said 8 months ago:

No. The regulations are getting more strict every year, sadly. Although me thinks drivers do close to 2 minutes around Spa or Singapore with heavy fuel loads, even in the dry, if I’m not mistaken.

When it’s all said and done, which driver will have enjoyed more success during their F1 career by the end of 2020 – Bruno Senna or Pastor Maldonado?

    The Maldonator

When all is said and done, what teams will Webber drive for from 2013-retirement?

  • Profile picture of Kingshark Kingshark said 8 months ago:

He wont drive in F1 anymore.

When it’s all said and done. Will Mercedes’s master plan for 2014 work?

  • Profile picture of mojopixel mojopixel said 8 months ago:

    Yes.
When it’s all said and done, will Bruno Senna outscore Pastor Maldonado this season?

  • Profile picture of Prisoner Monkeys Prisoner Monkeys said 8 months ago:

    No.

When it’s all said and done, how long will the USGP stay at Austin?

  • Profile picture of necrodethmortem necrodethmortem said 8 months ago:

In a few years’ time, when there’s a Mexican GP, it will alternate with New Jersey, but it will stay on the calendar for a long time, at least 15 years.

When all is said and done, will there ever be fewer than 5 Tilkedomes on the calendar again?

No tilke many ok tracks on calender for ever and Vettel too.

Will American F1 driver win champeenship in 5 year? (Alexander Rossi)

  • Profile picture of raymondu999 raymondu999 said 8 months ago:

No, Rossi is too far off that at this point. Not in 5 years.

If Massa’s return to form is permanent, and he outscores Alonso in the first 5 races of 2013 legitimately, will he still be number 2?

  • Profile picture of Kingshark Kingshark said 8 months ago:

No. Massa will become #1. A crucial twist of faith will occur in Ferrari, although I personally highly doubt it will happen.

When it’s all said and done, will we look back at 2008 with a false sense of the future, and how eventually, Vettel raised to the top and Hamilton failed to live up to the hype?
