Assuming HRT’s story is over, there’ll be 22 seats in F1 next year.
Which 22 drivers do you think deserve those? No team relations, sponsors, whatever – just write the 22 names you think deserve to be on the grid.
I’ll start:
Alonso, Hamilton, Vettel, Raikkonen, Webber,
Button, Massa, Grosjean, Rosberg, Hulkenberg,
Maldonado, Bottas, di Resta, Vergne, Ricciardo,
Alguersuari, Glock, Pic, Perez, Kovalainen,
Wickens & Calado.Obviously nothing serious, no need for long thinking, no particular order. Just for fun.

Vettel, Alonso, Hamilton, Button, Raikkonen
Webber, Massa, Rosberg, Maldonado, Hulkenberg,
Perez, Grosjean, di Resta, Kobayashi, Vergne,
Ricciardo, Valsecchi, Pic, Kovalainen, Bird,
Alguersuari and Dario Franchitti.28th November 2012, 13:59 at 1:59 pm #216258GirtsParticipant@Enigma My list is pretty similar to yours, I just would drop Vergne but leave Petrov, take Sutil back instead of promoting Wickens and promote Valsecchi instead of Calado.
Alonso, Hamilton, Vettel, Kovalainen,
Raikkonen, Button, Hulkenberg, Webber,
Massa, Maldonado, Rosberg, Petrov,
Grosjean, Perez, Glock, Di Resta,
Sutil, Alguersuari, Ricciardo, Pic,
Bottas, Valsecchi28th November 2012, 14:03 at 2:03 pm #216259CalumParticipantAlonso, Hamilton, Vettel, Raikkonen, Webber,
Button, Massa, Grosjean, Rosberg, Hulkenberg,
Maldonado, Bottas, di Resta, Vergne, Ricciardo,
Alguersuari, Glock, Pic, Perez, Kovalainen,
Sutil & Yamamoto*(*He paid me to say that.)
28th November 2012, 14:08 at 2:08 pm #216260the_sigmanParticipantSimilar to @girts, but I replaced Petrov and Bottas with Razia and Vergne. But I hope HRT stays so that there is some space for Bottas and Kobayashi.
Alonso, Hamilton, Vettel, Kovalainen,
Raikkonen, Button, Hulkenberg, Webber,
Massa, Maldonado, Rosberg, Ρazia,
Grosjean, Perez, Glock, Di Resta,
Sutil, Alguersuari, Ricciardo, Pic,
Vergne, Valsecchi28th November 2012, 14:12 at 2:12 pm #216261TodfodParticipantFerrari – Alonso Massa
RB – Vettel Webber
Mclaren – Button Perez
Merc – Hamilton Rosberg
Lotus – Raikkonnen Grosjean
Sauber – Kobayashi Hulkenberg
FI – Di Resta Sutil
Williams – Maldonado Bottas
Toro Rosso – Felix DiCosta Frijns
Caterham – Kovalainen Pic
Marrussia – Glock BianchiIts unfortunate that Kobayashi wont be on thr grid .. and nor will Sutil. Also want to see Frijns on the grid but I doubt Red Bull really want him after a few of his statements regarding the RB young driver program
28th November 2012, 14:14 at 2:14 pm #216262BobParticipantVettel, Webber, Alonso, Massa, Button, Hamilton, Raikkonen, Grosjean, Perez, Rosberg, Hulkenberg, di Resta, Ricciardo, Valsecchi, Maldonado, Bottas, Kovalainen, Pic, Kobayashi, Bianchi, Frijns, Razia
28th November 2012, 14:19 at 2:19 pm #216263BullfrogParticipant22 cars just isn’t enough is it?
Just realised I forgot Bottas. Sorry Sam, it’s back to the simulators for you…
Even without my “fantasy” pick of Franchitti I’d want Glock, Frijns, Wickens and Bianchi in there too. With 26 cars, or a bit of driver rotation, it would be easy.28th November 2012, 14:21 at 2:21 pm #216264Armchair ExpertParticipantVettel, Webber, Button, Hamilton, Alonso, Massa, Rosberg, Raikkonen, Grosjean, di Resta, Hulkenberg, Perez, Ricciardo, Vergne, Maldonado, Bottas, Alguersuari, da Costa, Wickens, Bianchi, Frijns and Gutierrez.
28th November 2012, 14:43 at 2:43 pm #216265MazdaChrisParticipantI’d love to see Jules Bianchi get a shot in F1. He’s reasonably quick, very consistent, and has plenty of experience. I think he’s earned a shot at F1, and could be a real surprise to people.
28th November 2012, 14:53 at 2:53 pm #216266magon4ParticipantSutil would be in my list, for sure.
28th November 2012, 15:09 at 3:09 pm #216267Antonio NarteaParticipantI’d say:
Red Bull: Vettel, Webber / TD: Buemi
Ferrari: Alonso, Massa / TD: Rigon
McLaren: Button, Perez / TD: De La Rosa
Mercedes: Hamilton, Rosberg / TD: Di Resta
Lotus: Raikkonen, Kovalainen / TD: Valsecchi
Sauber: Hulkenberg, Frinjs / TD: Gutierrez
Force India: Sutil, Bianchi / TD: Razia
Williams: Maldonado, Bottas / TD: Senna
Torro Rosso: Da Costa, Alguersuari / TD: Vergne
Caterham: Petrov, Van Der Garde / TD: Pic
Marussia: Glock, Ricciardo / TD: WickensIncluded test drivers as well, for the fun of it. :)
28th November 2012, 15:24 at 3:24 pm #216268Antonio NarteaParticipantThis is a half-realistic list, to be honest. A fantasy one would include the likes of: Power, Pagenaud, Vilander and an Audi F1 team with Rockenfeller and Leimer at the wheels. And I’m sure I can think of many others.
28th November 2012, 15:58 at 3:58 pm #216269FabianaParticipantFor me, it should be:
Red Bull – Vettel, Webber
Ferrari – Alonso, Massa
McLaren – Button, Perez
Mercedes – Hamilton, Rosberg
Lotus – Räikkönen, Kovalainen
Sauber – Hulkenberg, Gutierrez
Force India – Di Resta, Bianchi
Williams – Senna, Bottas
Torro Rosso – Ricciardo, Vergne
Caterham – Van der Garde, Pic
Marussia – Glock, Petrov28th November 2012, 16:40 at 4:40 pm #216270 - AuthorPosts
