@enigma The team-by-team thing was just to make things easier to understand, but if you don’t want it like that, here is my input:
Vettel, Webber, Alonso, Massa, Button, Perez, Hamilton, Rosberg, Räikkönen, Kovalainen, Hulkenberg, Gutierrez, Di Resta, Bianchi, Senna, Bottas, Ricciardo, Vergne, Van der Garde, Pic, Glock and Petrov.

@fabik I don’t really care too much, just thought it would be more interesting that way – usually we guess who should drive where and who deserves that seat, but here it’s just about the best 22.

Oh gosh. It’s a sort of dream grid thing isn’t it?

I’d like to say – I kind of miss Montoya in F1. Lol.

My list, in no particular order:

Vettel, Alonso, Hamilton, Raikkonen, Montoya, Ekström, Hulkenberg, Sutil, Rosberg, Kubica, Button, Webber, Glock, da Costa, Kovalainen, Webber, Massa, Schumacher, Hakkinen :P, Wickens, Calado, Gutierrez.

Vettel, Alonso, Hamilton, Räikkönen, Button, Webber, Hülkenberg, Pérez, Rosberg, Massa, Maldonado, Grosjean, di Resta, Kovalainen, Kobayashi, Bottas, Sutil, Alguersuari, Ricciardo, Vergne, Pic, Glock.

I haven’t included Frijns or da Costa because I have never seen them race. I’ve never seen Bottas race either, but at least I have seen him drive an F1 car.

    In order of Deservedness 1.Alonso 2.Vettel 3.Hamilton 4.Webber 5.Button 6.Raikkonen 7.Hulkenburg 8.Rosberg 9.Glock 10.Perez 11.Kovalainen 12.Maldonado 13.Kobayashi 14.Massa 15.Sutil 16.DiResta 17.Grosjean 18.Senna 19.Petrov 20.Buemi 21.Alguersuari 22.Bottas

I Honestly think Sutil has to get another chance. He drove some fantastic races for Force India in 2009/10 & 11. Also Glock is wasted in a Marussia.Could probably do as good a job as Nico Rosberg in the Mercedes. Others to mention, Buemi and Alguersuari..Are Vergne and Ricciardo better than these two. After this year it id very debatable.Buemi was consistant in his time with Toro Rosso and Alguersuari came good at the latter part of 2011, achieving better results than Ricciardo or Vergne managed thsi year.

    1. Alonso 2. Vettel 3. Hamilton 4. Raikkonen 5. Button 6. Hulkenberg
    7. Webber 8. Rosberg 9. Kovalainen 10. Massa 11. Perez 12. di Resta
    13. Maldonado 14. Grosjean 15. Bottas 16. Bianchi 17. Kobayashi
    18. Petrov 19. Pic 20. Vergne 21. Ricciardo 22. Razia

Frijns, Calado, and da Costa deserve seats based on talent but they simply need more time in F1 cars to develop. Bianchi and Bottas are long overdue for race seats. I think Alguersuari is grossly overrated. Although the STR this year was slow, I feel the Vergne-Ricciardo pairing has greater potential. I never fancied Razia until this year. His Valencia sprint race masterclass convinced me he deserves a shot at F1. I like Gutierrez but I agree when people say he had a scrappy GP2 season- not yet F1 material, but almost there.

    Infiniti Red Bull Racing:
    Sebastian Vettel
    Mark Webber

    Vodafone Mclaren:
    Jenson Button
    Sergio Perez

    Scuderia Ferrari:
    Fernando Alonso
    Felipe Massa

    Lotus F1:
    Kimi Raikkonen
    Romain Grosjean

    Mercedes AMG Petronas:
    Lewis Hamilton
    Nico Rosberg

    Sauber F1 Team:
    Nico Hulkenburg
    Esteban Gutierrez

    Sahara Force India:
    Paul di Resta
    Jules Bianchi

    Williams F1 Team:
    Pastor Maldonado
    Valtari Bottas

    Toro Rosso:
    Daniel Ricciardo
    Jean Eric Vergne

    Caterham:
    Kamui Kobayshi
    Charles Pic

    Marrusia:
    Timo Glock
    Bruno Senna

I personally think that Heikki Kovalainen, Vitaly Petrov, Adrian Sutil, Sebastian Buemi, Jaime Alguesuari and Heidfeld are all too good to be out of Formula 1. I also disagree with the people that are saying Ricciardo and Vergne aren’t good enough because STR had a very scrappy year and will hopefully have a better car next year. I think Sauber picked Guitierrez over Robert Frijns because of the Mexican (Telmex) money.
