These are just a few opinions of mine after watching these seasons, Just have to say i’m suprised more people didn’t put Webber as 2010 champion, otherwise no real disagreements with any others.

@kingshark Interesting to know.. that’s the sort of detail you can’t get from Wikipedia (unless you can find race reports of every race from the season or watch it fully on YouTube), so people who’ve seen it live are invaluable in that respect.

@dannyisf1 Webber – 2010 played right into his hands, with it being so aero dependent, so Webber had a dominant period mid-season. But Vettel would have won on counting back retirements, and Hamilton/Alonso were also close enough to make it a 4 way battle. So it’s tough to give to Webber, who has pace but lacks overall consistency to be a WDC.

Early 2010 – Webber vs. Hamilton
Late 2010 – Vettel vs. Alonso
    Overall winner: Vettel

@enigma good nomination with Kubica – even though his car was probably never going to win the title (so maybe you could discount him on that factor, it depends again on what the question actually represents).

I’m also curious as to how people think Ayrton Senna deserved the titles in 95′ or 96′ when he wasn’t even alive anymore? Of course I’m sure he would have been a huge favourite going into those season had he been still racing, but it does seem strange that people would mention his name for those seasons provided what happened.

@vettel1 He wasn’t far away though, was he? I saw him mentioned in an earlier post and remembered how consistent he was that year, compared to the two title contenders. Alonso and Vettel were very impressive in lesser machinery that year, too!

Ok results are in, thanks to everyone who contributed. Here’s the championship table based on the votes for the 1994-2013 seasons.

    Championship table Actual F1F Average

    Michael Schumacher 7 6.2
    Fernando Alonso 2 2.8
    Sebastian Vettel 4 2.5
    Lewis Hamilton 1 1.7
    Mika Hakkinen 2 1.6
    Damon Hill 1 1.1
    Kimi Raikkonen 1 1.1
    Senna 0 1.0
    Jenson Button 1 0.8
    Jacques Villeneuve 1 0.3
    Montoya 0 0.3
    Robert Kubica 0 0.3
    Eddie Irvine 0 0.2
    Felipe Massa 0 0.2
    Webber 0 0.1

So you can see which drivers have ‘overachieved’ and which ‘underachieved’ according to my very unscientific F1F poll ;) I didn’t really intend for people to vote for hypothetical situations (such as Senna surviving) but have included them none the less.

Just for interest, the unanimous seasons were 1998, 2000-2002, 2004, 2011 and 2013.

Tables really don’t display well on here, apologies :(
Format is obviously name – actual wins – F1F average
