@kingshark Frijns is testing the Sauber at Abu Dhabi later this year. He’s negotiating a reserve role with Sauber and Williams (hinting at a full-time seat for Bottas). While Frijns is clearly talented, he needs more experience in an F1 car before he races in the big leagues.
Kobayashi is probably leaving as he doesn’t carry much money (he entered the sport through Toyota funding). With Perez gone, I’m curious as to Sauber’s next cash inflow. Can they afford Schumacher? Will Gutierrez be promoted? Has Alguersuari signed for Force India or Sauber? Is Bianchi a possibility for Sauber?
There is a chance Alguersuari has signed to Force India due to his Emirati-Mercedes connections from STR. Personally, I’d love to see Hülkenberg in a Sauber.
