Well when i started watching F1 they were only 3 teams that are still racing today and that was Mclaren,Ferrari and Williams. I loved Ayrton’s driving something that made Mclaren look good to my eyes but i hate just supporting the winning guys and i was more of an Ayrton fan than a certain team fan so i kept watching with out supporting anyone.
Then came the Williams years, Hill looked like a nice guy and after what Schumi did in 1994 i was reluctant to see him with a loving eye.
In the end i didn’t become a Williams fan because although i liked their racing spirit i didn’t like how they handled their drivers, and i crew to enormously dislike Ferrari(who i quite liked when Alesi and Berger drove for it) because the things they did in the Schumi years and the unfair advantages they get seem disgusting to me(getting extra millions bonus just for their name, having the FIA stewards helping them, Being part of the decisions of what the regulations would be so they can fit them, never letting drivers fight and forcing contracted second drivers, their continuing attitude of thinking they are more special that anyone else and they should be left to win) not to mention all the crazy things Schumi was pulling on the track pushing people out of the track all the time.
So i ended-up with Mclaren because they where the guys fighting the “evil” empire of Ferrari and unlike the corporate image many claimed they had all i was seeing in the track was pure racing spirit since many times took risks by having drivers fight with each other, making risky all for the win decisions(example letting Kimi run with a right destroyed tyre and ending-up having the suspension collapse in the last lap instead of playing it safe and pitting for the second place) and staff like that.
The way i saw it, Montezemolo loves Ferrari and only Ferrari, Williams loves Williams and F1, Dennis loves Mclaren, F1 and racers.
