Why the sudden need for a Rome Grand Prix? (16 posts)

I’m not really a massive street circuits as a rule but as things go I can’t say the layout looks too bad, long fast bended back straight, preceded by followable corners leading into another with an overtaking spot, could provide okay racing. The rest is fairly typical street circuit drudgery but won’t judge till it holds a race or two.

Don’t really see the point of it either, specialy considering the generall concensus that countries shouldn’t have more than one race anymore. Obviously the idea that they cut Monza isn’t going to happen, probably one of only two actually safe circuits. Wouldn’t mind seeing it on a rotated european grand prix. Whole thing seems highly unlikley to be honnest.
