After it has been announced that the Singapore ‘sling’ corner has been modified, what is the worst corner in F1?
No doubt here: The redesigned chicane at the Circuit de Catalunya. It completely ruined the flow of the final sector.
I’m keeping a sick bag just in case any more hideous monstrosities are posted :-)
Turn 1 at Shanghai.
@magnificent-geoffrey You’re in the wrong thread.
Every turn in Korea.
The chicane at Spa is an insult to such a great track – it’s too slow, and seems to be designed to create stewards’ investigations rather than racing. For me it should be a faster, more challenging chicane that drivers can attack – like the final chicane in Montreal or a slightly tighter first part of the old Bus Stop.
I agree about Bus Stop. It’s not just the speed either – there’s about a continent’s worth of space that separates the right and left, which makes it one of the most awkward corners ever conceived.
For me it’s the chicane at Catalunya – it’s a monstrosity. I’m not a fan of the 2007 Bus Stop either. I preferred the old one before the added sweep to the right.
I can’t believe this…
I think the chicane in the first sector at Abu Dhabi is the worst corner.
Actually considering Abu Dhabi’s chicane is necessary because there is so little run-off zone perhaps Singapore’s chicanes in the final sector can be the worst.
The final chicane in Barcelona.
The new bus stop in Spa.
Turn 1 in Korea.
Turn 6 chicane in Hungary.
Every corner in Abu Dhabi.
