Make your own circuit with corners from different circuits:
My circuit:
We start the lap with the main straight of Fuji Speedway, then we go to Eau Rouge (Spa). There is a small straight and hard braking for Loews (Monaco). Accelarating for 300 metres as we approach The Esses (Suzuka). Then we go for Blanchmont (Spa) which is under a tunnel, small straight again and braking for Parabolica (Monza). Big straight (like Montmelo’s one) and brakes for turns 1-4 of Nurburgring, which is followed by a small straight and turn 8 (Istanbul Park). Then a small straight and the final sector which includes the old 130R (Suzuka) and corners 12-14 of Sepang, and we go across the start finish straight.2nd July 2012, 14:19 at 2:19 pm #204884Alfisti37ParticipantHas anyone tried to use accurate measurements to construct circuits, much like what the circuit architects are doing, instead of simply saying short/long straights and slow/fast curves?
2nd July 2012, 14:21 at 2:21 pm #204885Alfisti37ParticipantI mean, taking in account of acceleration approximations, cornering radii, track width etc. measurements.

It’s a crocodile!

That thread links to this one. I got caught in a crazy loopDoes anyone know of any simple 3d modelling software I could use to design a circuit? I’m always drawing up designs on my lecture notes when I get bored, but I would love to design a circuit for real, as a little project or something.

18th December 2012, 22:03 at 10:03 pm #204897AnonymousInactive@kingshark I’d drive that track, although it looks like it has too many 90-degree corners.
18th December 2012, 23:11 at 11:11 pm #204898KingsharkParticipantLooking back at some of my designs several months ago, during the summer break; I have to say, they were woeful.
Here’s a new one though.
