The Japanese commentators are amazing aren’t they. I love how the other one is the picture of calm as well.

Anyway, I would say Edwards and Hunt. I think that would work well.

If you guys like screaming so much, maybe Sky or the BBC could invite Napalm Death to do the commentary. Though I think F1 might be a little bit too capitalistic for their taste…

On topic: Martin Brundle and Mark Webber would be sweet.

    Larry, Curly and Moe.

No, but seriously, I’d go for Murray Walker, David Hobbes and Dario Franchitti.

Ben Edwards and John Watson, was the best commentators for Formula. Allard Kalff and John Watson also was a great combination.
For Indycar/C.A.R.T. there was no doubt, Ben Edwards and Jeremy Shaw.

Brundle and Crofty were what I wanted the BBC to have, so am happy with that.

Chuck in Davidson, as he and Croft always had good banter.

Alternatively, I really like the lead GP2 commentator (not sure of his name).

@prof-kirk I would love to see that!

“The Hamilton approaches silently, knowing that it cannot afford to scare its prey. The young Button is safe, though, as the mother Whitmarsh is perpetually nearby.”

Or something like that (very roughly, that was pretty badly written).

How could I not have thought of him sooner: Clive James.

Dream would clearly be Murray and Martin again, but current wise old Martin not green 90s Martin, and with Ted in the pitlane.

As it is now, I’m very happy. Croft is better than Legard (easily) and Allen (slightly) and we get Ted. What you get used to is always best so it’s kind of impossible to speculate.

However I think Buxton and Brundle long term, for multiple years/a decade plus into the future, would probably be the best way to go.

    For me, it would be:

Murray Walker: No need to explain.

Matti Kyllönen: A Finnish commentator, so hopefully he would speak English. He goes absolutely crazy when Finns start doing well, and he’s a bit like Murray, always making mistakes. I don’t speak Finnish, but reading about him and watching his reaction to Mika’s first WDC is enough to dream of having him alongside Murray.

Jacques Laffite: He’s very good in French commentary (I speak French, so no problem for me), very knowledgeable and usually the only one who actually knows what’s happening. He’s also quite calm, so it would be a funny contrast with Murray and Matti.
