Group for fans going to the Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne.
Were the TV screens and speakers hacked and hijacked at the Australian Grand Prix – or is this video a hoax?
Perhaps someone who was in the crowd can tell us?
Hmm I was there all four days and didn’t see that. The audio sounds way too good good and clear to be recorded
Fake. The dude races go karts, lives in Melbourne
The audio is definitely fake!
The track side speakers sound absolutely nothing like that too.
The lack of reaction from the people standing around also suggests its not real.
Fake. Those extremely loud V8′s racing right behind him could not be heard as they drove past.
Another for the ‘fake’ chorus:
@f1fanatic_co_uk 100% fake, the speakers aren’t that good quality, I was there all day for the 4 days. 100% this did not happen. — Matt Sind (@Dyerss) March 18, 2013

@infy It appears to be during the celebrity race, in which they were driving Mazda 6 Diesels. I watched the race on TV, and all I could hear was tyre noise. They are very quiet cars.
I think we can all agree that it’s fake. There’s so many things you can see and hear in the video that give it away.
This looks fake. I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few fakes in my time.
Dammit MagGoeff, stop winning the internet!
I can’t believe anyone would waste any time at all putting together such a bad fake. Lame, very lame.
@bendana
