Thanks for the speedy reply, Rob. My friend bought a package deal to Spa and asked if I wanted to go. I siad I’d come but would rather do the camping side of things instead of a hotel. He will only see qually and race too, I shall see Firday practice this way. I’m doing this alone and it’ll be my first Grand Prix, so it’s a little daunting at the moment. Just need to sort travel there and then it’s sorted! :)

Hi guys still thinking about going…what do you guys think are the best seats at spa? I am leaning towards gold 3 at the top of eau rouge

I’m going with my dad, and we seem to be going a different approach to most people – staying in a hotel in Brussels and getting a coach over each day… Early starts, but my dad doesn’t fancy camping, haha.

However, just recieved the tickets (Gold 3, front row!) and really looking forward to it. :)

kthxrawr, I’ve done the same as you for the past 2 years (and very tempted to go again). The coach journey from Brussels takes about 2 hours, so there and back for 2, or maybe 3 days is a bit of an endurance test, but there is always some good banter on the coach. We found that the long coach journeys were out-weighed by the simplicity of actually getting to Brussels on Eurostar. Enjoy…..

Hi there, This is our first GP live and we CAN’T wait !! We have a VW camper so are coming over the weekend before on a real bargain crossing with Norfolk Line (have heard it’s full of lorries and truckers but who cares’s!). We read on the forum from last year and have booked camping at the Camping Du Moulin which was commented on as a fab place so we are looking forward to a bike ride to the circuit each day ! Has anyone stayed there and know of a cycle route ??
Look forward to seeing all the UK fans there …… can’t come quick enough !!

Hi guys, just got my tickets done for gold 3 and can’t wait for the race now. A question for people who have been to this race. We are planning to rent a car and get to the track from brussels on Sunday ( yes I’ll miss qualifying). How is the traffic situation and how long will it take? We are planning to leave Brussels airport around 9, will that give us enough time to get to the track at least a couple of hours before the race?

@nick-uk I’ve just sent an email to Elephant camping, let’s see what I get back!

(Hopefully) me and two mates, maybe a third, will be camping for the whole weekend so we could have a meet-up if you like? There’s even the possibility I would go alone at this rate so even more incentive!

That sounds…dodgy, but I’m sure you get the point!

Hi, planning to drive back to brussells from the track on Sunday. Can anyone advise roughly what time the race will end and roughly what time I should get back to brussells? Im thinking about taking the 7:50 train back to london, but this might be a bit rush.

    Thanks

Me & my dad are going for the first time. Due to Our work commitments we are on quite a tight schedule to get back to the uk after the race. Can anyone who’s been before recommend the quickest way to get from Spa back to Brussels after the race? We will likely be hiring a car or using coach/train. Taking into account post race traffic etc… and estimated travel times of each method? Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know if there are fan signing sessions at the GP of Spa? And is this for selected groups of fans?

@debbie To the best of my knowledge there is an opportunity on the Thursday afternoon to explore the pit lane. All you need I think is a 3 day ticket. A few of us did it at Monza last year and while we weren’t well placed for autographs, plenty of people were. Prepare to be patient. We waited a long time. But on the plus side, there are plenty of great things to look at!

    Hi folks

We are hoping to travel out for this years F1. We can fly to either the international airport or S.charleroi does anyone know which has better transport links to Spa area. Or would people recommend a hire car? What are transport links like to get in/out of the circuit?

Is the race scheduled to start at 3pm local time? Bit concerned we might not be able to get back to Brussels international airport for a 7.30pm flight?!? (another comment said not to book any earlier than the 11pm ferry!)

    thanks in advance

Hi we are going to be driving to Spa from the UK. We are going on the Tuesday and are planning stopping in Bruges for a night or two and then heading to the track in time for the pit walk. Can anyone advise the best route to take from Bruges to Spa? And also, if anyone has stayed in Bruges and knows any nice hotels they can reccommend that would be cool. Thanks… CANNOT WAIT! :-D

My tickets arrived yesterday morning. Gold 3, section C, front row! Mixed emotions about front row – obviously great for watching the action but I imagine more risk of getting sunburnt/soaking wet/both!
