    I went to the gp last year, it was my first and a great one!
    The train ride is super easy and you basically get off in a field and walk through a neighborhood to the track.
    Hungaroring has always been a favorite !

    Hello! Do you know if I will be allowed to enter with a Canon 550D and a 700-200mm lens?

    @TexAgF1 and others,

    We always took the bus but with the opcoming temperatures we’re considering to take the train to Szilasliget this year. What is the best ticket to buy? Does the train-ride fall under a day-ticket or tourist ticket or is an additional ticket for the train required.

    Right now it’s slightly cooler than it has been the last couple of days, but that will change for the weekend: on all three days, temperatures will reach 30*C, but with a chance of rain on every single day. Here is a link to bbc’s weather forecast for Budapest.

    Less than 50 hours away from first practice!

    Some friends of mine are going to the grand prix in Budapest. I had gone there last year and it’s an excellent place to watch a F1 race. Have a nice weekend and be careful for the weather. Its pretty unpredictable. ;)

    @taipan you need an additional ticket to cover the stretch of journey from the outskirts of Budapest to Szilasliget. I think it’s only about 320huf each way though. I will be trying it out tomorrow afternoon.

    @Ovidiu Mihalcea: Yes, you can go with your camera on the circuit. You are not allowed to share the pictures on the internet when the event is live. They don’t check your backpack.
    Last year I had a Gold 1 ticket and I had no problems.

    I’m leaving tomorrow from Croatia.

    This will be my first ever GP and I’m really looking forward to the pit walk.

    One question for the people who’ve already been to the track: What do they have outside the track? I’m talking about restaurants, simulators, fan shops, etc. I have a 4 year old brother who might get bored at the grandstands so if there’s any sort of activity around the track? I heard something about an aqua park at the track, is that true?

    Thanks, Martin

    @martin – Yes is an Aquapark right of the circuit. I saw it on Google maps but I don’t know anything else about it.

    Pitlane walk was amazing! Got there nice and early, a bit of a queue to get in but it was not too bad. The pit lane looked horrendous when we were leaving, people were crammed in like sardines. It was a bit of a trek from the station round to gate 8 though, took a good 40 mins.

    Can’t wait to get back there in the morning
