Mark….looked up the CampingF1 site & it looks like a cool option. Wish they would do something like that for the USGP. It eliminates the need to haul around a tent.
Mirza & Sangeen….several options for getting to the track from the train station. Depends on where you are sitting. The free shuttles from the station drop you off a pretty good ways from the Vedano gate, maybe a 30 minute walk it appears. From info I picked up here, I think I will take public Bus 221. I’m in 26B & it drops at Via Santa Maria delle Selve. Looks to be a much shorter walk & also a good option for 6C. It will probably take as long as the shuttle & walk, but I want to save my walking for once I’m at the track! After the start, I want to roam around trying to get some good photo opportunities.
I will have a pouch that hangs around my neck(under my shirt) to carry my cards & ID. Don’t know if I’ll take Passport. Reading posts on Tripadvisor, it appears it is Italian law for foreigners to have Passport on you at all times & have heard of reports of being asked to show passport on the trains…..but I don’t have any personal experience in Italy. My pouch is big enough for my passport, so I will probably take it just in case. I’ll be training from Fiumelatte/Varenna on Lake Como.
