Hi Ed, thanks for looking after us in Monaco last year mate, when are you guys heading to Melbourne?

Ed and the team at Fugare F1 hosted us last year in Monaco and after much deliberation (by me) we got balcony 6 just near St Devote (cant remember the name of the building Ed) and it was great. Its where Palmer came off on the re-start right below us. If you want yacht action the entry inside Tabac is awesome!

I did 4 races last year (and used up my points with the Mrs) and dealing with Ed was the easiest.
It wont be this year but see you soon Ed, I wont bring bloody Dave this time LOL

Hello all! I am so glad to find this forum.

I just put together plans to be in the Nice during the Grand Prix, so I have been researching the best seating positions to attend the qualifications on Saturday. Unfortunately, this is the only time that I have to go, but very excited! The last time I was in Monaco (about 10 years ago), we arrived in the evening after the race on Sunday and missed all the action. So I really appreciate advice that you can provide.

I am looking at Tribunes L, O, N, and P primarily but could possibly do another if it the experience improvement would be significant. I am planning to purchase tickets from the Monaco Auto Club site, as I understand that is the official vendor. I have been reading other online sources that suggest that people should be able to select their own seats in each grandstand. However, although I am using my PC, accessing the full ACM website and downloaded the plugin, I am unable to see how I can possibly see a seat map. When I put two ticket in my shopping cart, the site is automatically selecting the seats. There is no seat map so I cannot see where the are. I am on the verge of just trusting that they are decent, but would prefer to know–especially with so much advice available about where to sit within each grandstand.

    Thank you for your assistance!

    Hi ChiLo

We have sat in different locations but always end up back at K1 or K2 as high up as possible. You can see a lot of the track and there is a large screen as well. Can’t beat sitting watching the cars whilst looking at the stunning boats moored in front of you.

If you have downloaded the silver light plug in you should be able to click on the grandstand you wish to book your tickets for and then it will show you the seats that are available (or that is it how it used to work – unless something has changed.) The staff at ACM are very helpful so it is worth contacting them to see if they can help you.

    Hi ChiLo

I agree with Caroline (hi Caroline, long time!), high K1 & K2 are the best and where we always try to place our customers. Having said that, personally I would still prefer something like K3 than any of the others. You’re unlikely to find any K1 or K2 high at this stage other than from agents (like us) where you will pay a premium over buying from the ACM. Don’t buy just tickets from an agent, make sure you’re getting some added value if you go down that route. The ACM are as Caroline says very helpful so don’t be hesitant about calling them, they’ll tell you exactly what they have and make recommendations/offer advice based on your preference.

    Hope that helps.

Must admit to being a Rascasse fan for sitting in Monaco, pit lane entry and the proximity to the cars is superb, however i wouldnt put you off k1/k2 for an overall view

I am going this year for the first time, seats all booked B on Saturday for qualifying and K1 for race day. Any advice on attending would be gratefully appreciated, restaurants, bars and generally getting around.

    Many thanks

    Hi Nige

You shouldn’t have any trouble moving around in general other than the obvious restrictions of not being able to get somewhere around the circuit you don’t have a pass for.

Getting to B from say the Fanzone/harbour is a little longer than it would be usually as you have to go around the track but everything is well signed.

There are plenty of bars, restaurants and street vendors. If there’s a particular restaurant you fancy for an evening I’d suggest you book just to ensure you get a table but if you don’t there are generally plenty that will have space for walk ins. Many do a GP menu at a fixed price so check them out beforehand to ensure you’ll get what you want.

If anyone in your party is vegan/vegetarian you’ll struggle moreso in Monaco than you would in Nice for example but that should just take a bit of extra planning.

If you’re travelling in/out by train I’d recommend you avoid the very last train out of Monaco.

For the grandstand seating, buy yourself a seat cushion, check on the weather and if it looks like rain (or hail as large as my thumbnail like last year/year before) buy a poncho. If it’s to be very sunny as baseball cap/hat and sunglasses.

    Ear plugs or defenders.

Lots of space on your phone for pics/videos.

Watch your valuables on the train and in the station (e.g. On the stairs) as pickpockets are aplenty. Not so much in Monaco but for sure outside.

Other than that have a great time.

If there’s anything else please ask.
    Regards
    Ed

Hi, thanks Ed, a great help. It’s just the two of us going, 10 days, we are staying in Eze which I understand is 9 minutes on the train. Cannot wait, it was a surprise birthday present. I’m so lucky.

Any thing else I think of I’ll give you a tap.

    Thanks

Just bought my tickets. It was payday and you only live once etc. I hope to never pay as much to go to a Grand Prix ever again!

Can’t wait though. Got tickets for Casino Square on Thursday, grandstand K on Saturday and Swimming Pool (L) on Sunday.

I’ll be staying in San Remo, Italy which is about 75 minutes on the train (no direct trains though). I’ve recently moved to Milan, and I want to stay in Italy so that I can get a 5am train on Monday morning to be at work for 9:30am!

Don’t forget your weekend tickets get you into the free pit lane walk on the Friday George, if you don’t mind the melee.

I guess there won’t be any clubbing or late partying for you after the race with such an early start!
    Have fun.

Hi, thanks for that about the pit walk. Will be there on the Friday for the support races etc. Is it normally quieter on the Friday?

    Thanks
    Nige.
