Hotel prices really are skyrocketing beyond what I’d consider reasonable for a GP weekend!

Going to the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas 2 weeks, 6 days agoFor a change, I’m not going to Montreal this year and decided to go to TX :-) . I agree with the daily rates even for a average hotel during the GP weekend. Hence, I made my reservation at a hotel in San Antanio… I heard it will be anywhere between 60 – 90 minutes drive.

We’ve also opted to stay in San Antonio. Whilst the circuit is obviously closer to Austin, apparently the volume of city traffic and mostly grid locked Austin road network negates any advantage of proximity.
