I hope Dillmann can get that seat, if they can afford it they should take him looking at these testing results. I’m all for drivers who engage with simracing doing well, so far I’ve heard of Dillmann, Lind, Vandoorne doing well online and Stanaway has just won the iRacing Pro series in the Williams FW31, while recovering from his back injury, and will drive in the iRacing Drivers World Championship this year against the best simracers. It’s nice to know how fast these guys are compared to us in an equal environment :D
I would predict that Calado, Leimer, Ericsson, and other non-rookies like Cecotto Jr would be in the championship mix, with Calado favourite going off last year’s results, but I guess we’ll see this year, some are with new teams. I do hope Calado can win the championship after being the best rookie last year, and secure an F1 young driver’s test and role for next year. (Shame they’ve lost the Lotus livery, rather liked that one!)
