Everybody complains about the injustice of it all when Frijns loses his seat. But rather than celebrate when he gets his seat back, everybody complains about the injustice if it all because now Lancaster had lost his seat.
Do people think that the sport runs on sunshine and happy thoughts or something? Hilmer needs money to survive. Quaife-Hobbs has it. Frijns and Lancaster don’t. So they can either drop one driver and take someone with sponsorship in their place and live to fight another day, or they can keep their preferred drivers and die an inglorious death. I know which is the lesser evil, however unfair it may be, but people will still complain about it. And if ever Hilmer were to keep their preferred drivers the way everyone seems to expect that they can, it will be those sane people complaining loudest of all about their injustice of two talented drivers losing their seats – even though they were the ones naive enough to assume it was feasible in the first place.
