    Too bad Racing Engineering decided to go for the young and promising talent that is Léal. The team always seemed to go for proper talents, which makes the choice for Léal seem a bit odd.

    I think Leal has some potential – certainly more than Nathanael Berthon did – but he’s been hampered by poor team choices in the past.

    I don’t really know; I’ve never seen anything special from Leal to suggest that he does. I guess we’ll see what he’s got next season, but I’m not really sure about the guy.

    It’ll be interesting to see how Hilmer get on; it’s quite late in with their entry so I don’t expect them to work wonders. They’ll probably do what Lazarus did last season…

    Rene Binder joins Venezuela GP Lazarus for the 2013 GP2 season:

    He already drove some pretty unnoticeable races for them in 2012, replacing Serenelli in the final few rounds.

    Great news! Probably chose this to mirror Formula Renault 3.5, which offers the champion (Frijns last year) a test with Red Bull Racing.

    In the UK is GP2 televised just like F1 or your Touring Cars??

    If so does anyone know if it can be steamed over the internet as I would be keen to have a watch.

    @Garns In the UK GP2 is shown on the Sky Sports F1 channel alongside F1 and GP3. You have to pay to watch this channel

    Well, that’s a little disappointing. I only knew him as the underwhelming team mate of Sam Bird in WSR last season, and having looked up his career summary on Wikipedia doesn’t improve my impression of him. As far as I can tell, he finished on the podium once in his entire motorsport career (I didn’t look at karting), in F3.

    “And the winner is…”, or “And the highest bidder is…”?
