@andae23 Thanks for that! I didn’t notice the sidepods on the GP3 website.

I really liked Status’ black and green livery.

So do I. What strikes me as odd is the way the Status pits have black and green panelling in them, but their cars are white and ourple.

Wow… that looks a really dull field this year livery wise.
The drivers however I think will be a three-way fight, Elinas, Kyvat and Sainz Jr. Personally I hope Elinas clinches it because of his years experience, and I like him and have met him and he’s a great guy. Hey, with Marussia’s revolving F1 seat.. he could be there in a few years…

Roberto La Rocca has pulled out of the series due to funding uncertainties following the death of Hugo Chavez. Carmen Jorda will replace him at Bamboo.

So now we know who’ll finish last in 2013..

Finish? Who said anything about finishing? Carmen Jorda can’t even start some races, since she failed to qualify.

This year’s GP3 field has some strong drivers…and some out-of-depth ones.

@keithcollantine It seems to be nature’s way: all drivers struggling financially are competent ones, and vice cersa, with very few notable exceptions…

With no Monaco on the GP3 calendar this year, a replacement round has been organised at Valencia Ricardo Tormo (the road course, not the street track):

GP3 Series organisers are pleased to announce Round 2 of the 2013 season will be held in Valencia at the Circuit de Ricardo Tormo on 15-16 June. This will be a standalone event for GP3 in a season which features eight rounds in total, seven of which will run alongside Formula 1, with the season finale in Abu Dhabi.

The schedule for Valencia race weekend will see the practice session run on Saturday with qualifying later on the same day, whilst the two races will be run on Sunday.

GP3 Series CEO Bruno Michel commented, “We are happy to announce that Valencia has been added to the calendar. It will be the first time that the Series will race at Circuit de Ricardo Tormo. 2013 promises to be a very strong season for GP3 with the introduction of the GP3/13 car, recording a laptime 4.2 seconds quicker than its previous generation on the same track. The driver line-up is probably the strongest we have ever had. I can’t wait for the season to start in Barcelona next month.”

Bah. It’s a nasty little circuit. Couldn’t they go somewhere more interesting that most of the drivers haven’t raced, like Brands Hatch, Magny-Cours of the Red Bull Ring?
