After Nigel Melker’s crash in GP2 just hours before, Ocean Racing saw another of their drivers crash heavily in the GP3 race. Irish driver Robert Cregan crashed rear-end first after a collision at Pouhon corner. The incident also involved David Fumanelli (Arden) and Alex Brundle (Carlin).

Glad to hear he’s doing OK. Given that he went in backwards I was a bit less concerned about this one compared to Melker’s crash in the GP2 race. But Cregan went quite deep into the barrier which was worrying.
