Andretti Autosport have restored the car Dan Wheldon won the Indianapolis 500 for them with in 2005:
Wheldon, of course, had signed to return to the team in 2012 on the morning of his fatal crash a little over a month ago.
One thing that always gets me about motorsport when people talk about “the car X driver won X event/Championship in” is that are they talking about that particular specification of car, or are they talking about the exact same chassis, engine, bodywork, cockpit etc that a driver actually did it in?
@MagJeff. As close to number two as can be managed. Otherwise, it’s just another car innit.
