Wow! Now there’s a shock. As recently as yesterday Curt Cavin had Carpenter slated to return to SFR. Whilst this is good news for Ed you can’t help worry that it means we won’t be seeing SFR next year, at least not in more than an Indy only capacity. Still, pleased for Ed.

Didn’t Sarah Fisher say something about not being sure she would be able / want to continue after the Vegas race @jholland?
So maybe that made them put things together like this, they might even end up using some of Fisher’s infrastructure.

@BasCB She mentioned the loss of Dollar General, and that it would hurt them financially, but said her intention was to find a new sponsor and carry on. I would guess she’s maybe given up on that, hence Ed starting a team. The new team have talked about linking with an established outfit but I imagine that this will be with whatever’s left of Vision Racing, being as Tony George is involved.
