Whoops, I missed this thread and started another! Here’s what I posted:
With 14 drivers getting qualifying penalties the grid for the IndyCar Grand Prix of Long Beach takes some figuring out. Happily IndyCar have done the hard work for us.
The top three in qualifying were Ryan Briscoe, Will Power and Ryan Hunter-Reay. They all get penalties and falls to 11th to 13th respectively.
Dario Franchitti inherits pole position and shares the front row with Josef Newgarden, who originally qualified seventh.
Justin Wilson and Simon Pagenaud make up row two, followed by Scott Dixon and Takuma Sato.
Then it’s Mike Conway, Graham Rahal, Charlie Kimball and Alex Tagliani – the latter moving up 11 places having qualified 21st.
James Hinchcliffe is 16th, Helio Castroneves 18th and Rubens Barrichello 22nd. It looks like being quite a race…
