Penske have confirmed they will keep their line-up of Will Power, Helio Castroneves and Ryan Briscoe for next year:

There had been rumours they might drop to a two-car effort. Penske will use Chevrolet engines in 2012.

Makes sense I guess. Power obviously, Briscoe shone a few times and Helio is a multiple Indy500 winner.

That said the latter do need to pull their socks up next year.

Castroneves had a rough old year, he’ll be leaning more heavily on his name recognition in the States after that (he won one of those insufferable reality TV dancing competitions).

Thing is with Helio, he’s won Indy for Penske three times. Roger Penske values the 500 over the championship – he’s said that enough times – and Helio still represents a great chance to win it. Better than Power! So he’ll stick by him. If you’ve got that and Power – who’s bound to be a title threat again in ’12 – you’re laughing. Briscoe? I guess he’s just a good bloke to have around.
