@damonsmedley Let it go man! The guy is almost 40, what’s the point in him being in F1 any more and preventing new kids getting in? If he still has the pace/passion let him go race sportscars, tin-tops or IndyCar. Same goes for Trulli, de la Rosa.

@JHolland :) I don’t think age has anything to do with it if you’re still capable of getting the results needed. And you can’t name Trulli and de la Rosa without naming Schumacher as well. If age alone is enough to mean drivers don’t deserve a seat, then there should be an age at which drivers are forced to retire at.

@damonsmedley Schumacher represents marketing benefits to MGP that go way beyond his performances in the car. That’s a whole other issue.

I just think Rubens should go give IndyCar a go – and maybe win some races – rather than pouding round in the F1 midfield for another season.

@JHolland I think he should do what he wants to do. F1 clearly doesn’t need him, but F1 doesn’t need anyone. I think he makes F1 a better place and I feel he has a lot left to give. That was all I was saying, really.

@damonsmedley I quite agree with you on that. I’d just like for him to bring what he has to IndyCar.

Okay. I am officially excited now :D. If he’ll be at the 500, I *have* to go again this year and try my damnedest to get an autograph.

@Joey-Poey – Barrichello may not go to Indy. Because he promised his wife he would never race on ovals, it is believed that if Barrichello joins Indycar, he will not contest any of the oval events.

I see Rubens has kept 2009′s set of overalls.

Wow, when you compare that picture to the one Renault Lotus posted when firing up their engine yesterday, this looks like a real comfy limousine for a cockpit!

Lets hope Rubens enjoys himself. I think it would be great to see him do some races in the IndyCar series next year. If he does enough of the road course events, he might still have a shot at the trophy for those!

I’ve heard that if Rubens gives the okay they already have enough funding for him to do a full season in Indycars. I don’t want to jump the gun with excitement but this is pretty awesome.
