F1 Fanatic - Moto GP
Expectations for Austin? I understand that the Repsol Hondas were ridiculously quick here in testing.
So another great weekend of motorsport coming up. Formula One, GP2, BTCC, IndyCar and MotoGP. Here’s a race preview of the MotoGP race on the BBC website if you are interested.
So did anybody see the race? We all knew that the Honda’s would run away with this one, but thankfully there was a mighty scrap between Marquez and Pedrosa. Both running very close to each other throughout the race with Marquez coming out on top.
Finally found a place to watch it this morning. Great stuff from the Repsol Honda riders, and I wonder if Marquez can be a rookie champion in MotoGP this season…
Race was boring as hell though.
Yah pretty boring and let down after Qatar. What happened to the Yamahas?
Pretty darn sad to see Hayden, Spies, twiddling around in 12 and 13??
And poor Edwards. Why even ride a CRT?
Let’s wait and see what happens in a few moments!
I only watch MotoGP infrequently, but I find it odd how Rossi hasn’t won a race in several years now. Is he having a Schumacher (Mercedes) lull in his career?
@david-a Well he moved to Ducati in 2011 which never really got anywhere with a best finish of 2nd at Misano last year. He moved back to Yamaha this year taking 2nd in Qatar
Well after that last corner, I think it’s fair to say we have an incredibly fiery Top 3 with Pedrosa, Lorenzo and Marquez all hating each other lol
Didn’t expect Lorenzo to be such a sore loser. He left a gap, Marquez went for it and Lorenzo turned into Marquez, what was Marquez supposed to do? He saw enough space to overtake and he did. He was never going to make it through that corner following the ideal line, but who says he couldn’t try?
Really disappointed Lorenzo refused to shake Marquez’ hand. Fantastic drive from Pedrosa though, guess he had something to prove!
Does this remind anything to you? :o
Anyway, fantastic race from Pedrosa and Marquez
No, in that video Rossi went for the gap and hit Gibernau who was actually driving his normal line. That’s not what just happened; Lorenzo left the door wide open, Marquez went for the inside without touching anyone and then Lorenzo turned into Marquez when he realised it was too late. Completely different matter, Marquez dove in and of course he was never going to make it through that corner following the ideal line, but Lorenzo should’ve defended BEFORE Marquez was ever going to end up next to him.
No, there was nothing wrong with Marquez’ move. He did great.
Marquez would never of stayed on the track without hitting Lorenzo, but had Lorenzo pre-empted Marquez’s rookie move, then he could of cut back underneith him
