Heavy impact, but then most crashes on Ovals are. Nice to see when drivers can climb out on their own.

Not sure if McMurray was incredibly loose or what, but he was definitely the one responsible for that crash and even almost crashed the lap before. Big hit though. Course, her crash will get even more attention than Gordon’s rollover, or probably even the winner, but that’s the nature of marketing I suppose.

With the drivers so reliant on spotters, McMurray might not have known he was alongside Almirola. Danica just qualified on the pole for tomorrow’s Nationwide race, it’s safe to assume there will be Danica-mania tomorrow and Sunday at Daytona.

On the subject of Danica, the real work for her will start next week at a downforce track in Phoenix. That’s when we’ll know how she is progressing by driving normal tracks.
