Here is a preview of the semifinals:
PORTUGAL VS SPAIN (27 June 2012)
Quarterfinal: vs Czech Republic 1-0
Portugal seem to be on their best since Euro 2004 and of cource Cristiano Ronaldo is on top form having scored 3 goals, with the help of his teammates.Helder Postiga will miss the match due to injury.
Quarterfinal: vs France 2-0
Spain isn’t the dominating team it was the previous 4 years. The injury of David Villa has cost them. Vicente
del Bosque uses Fabregas as a forward (acually it’s a 4-6-0). Fernando Torres is not the player we knew, but Spain needs a forward. Spain have Llorente and Negredo too.
It depends on which player will Spain use as a forward. If they use Torres or Llorente, Spain will win. If not I really don’t know. I believe it will go to extra-time and then penalties.
GERMANY VS ITALY (28 June 2012)
Quarterfinal: vs Greece 4-2
Germany have the best attacking team of Euro 2012, but they have one of the worst defends. The score against Greece should have been closer. Germany have the advantage of having more than 11 good players. Mario Gomez is on fire lately.
Quarterfinal: vs England 0-0 (4-2 on penalties)
Italy have gone downhill since 2006 but they have improved as they have played very well until now. However it’s still difficult for them to score, but with a change they can go to the final.
Germany are the favoutes but if Italy use Antonio di Natale with Cassano istead of Ballotelli (so they will have two quick forwards) they can score as Greece did. If the match goes to extra-time Germany will win because they can enter 3 very good players being fresh.
